Silly sentences or phrases 2 - memory aid

If you find it difficult to remember the pronunciation and spelling of some words, make silly sentences or phrases!

As long as they mean something to YOU it doesn't matter how silly they seem!
Here are all the one's I've written so far-

I'm nearly always early for class.

Thirty thirsty boys are shouting at me!

The hungry hippo is angry, or even the angry hippo is hungry.

I don't mind the wind but I hate the rain.

Homophones and silly sentences

What is a homophone?
Homophones are words that sound the same, but are spelt differently and mean different things.
eg: 'flower', 'flour'.

Here are a few 'silly sentences' that might help you remember the spelling and the meaning of these homophones.
I have used some of these with my students.
The mayor has a grey mare.
My uncle and aunt aren't very happy.
I write with my right hand.
I can see the sea.
Which witch is your mum?
He threw the hammer through the window.
